WASHINGTON, DC: Elon Musk has fired back at late-night host Jimmy Kimmel, calling him an “unfunny jerk” after Kimmel mocked the decline in Tesla’s stock and recent vandalism of the company’s vehicles during his monologue.
The audience erupted in cheers at the mention of Tesla’s stock crash, adding fuel to the fire.
This comes after Minnesota Governor Tim Walz made comments expressing amusement over Musk’s struggles, which have affected thousands of employees. Musk responded with sarcastic remarks on X, continuing his battle with critics amid the ongoing controversies surrounding his companies.

Elon Musk responded on March 19, 2025, to Jimmy Kimmel’s jokes about the recent Tesla attacks. On X, Musk commented on one of the video clips of Kimmel’s jokes, saying, “He is such an unfunny jerk,” and in another, he tweeted, “What a jerk.”
The clip, shared by End Wokeness on X, showed Kimmel mocking the vandalism of Tesla property during his March 18 episode of ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live’.
In his monologue, Kimmel joked, “Our co-president Elon Musk sent a Space-X vehicle to bring the astronauts back, and when they landed, he fired them immediately upon landing.”
He also noted, “Tesla stock is way down, almost disastrously so,” which caused the audience to erupt into cheers at the mention of the stock crash.
Kimmel further sarcastically commented, “People have been vandalizing Tesla vehicles, new Tesla vehicles. Please, don’t vandalize, don’t ever vandalize Tesla vehicles,” addressing the camera with exaggerated emphasis.
The vandalism of Tesla cars appears to be a protest linked to the Musk-led Department of Government Efficiency’s (DOGE) controversial spending cuts and layoffs.

Elon Musk has condemned the violent attacks targeting his company, expressing his shock at the extent of the hostility.
In an exclusive interview on ‘Hannity’ this Tuesday, March 18, Musk shared his disbelief, stating, “It’s really come as quite a shock to me that there is this level of real hatred and violence from the left.”
He further questioned the supposed values of the left, saying, “I thought the left, you know, Democrats, were supposed to be the party of empathy, the party of caring. And yet they’re burning down cars. They’re firebombing dealerships. They’re firing bullets into dealerships. They’re just smashing up Teslas.”

According to the New York Post, Attorney General Pam Bondi has labeled three individuals accused of vandalizing Tesla vehicles and charging stations as perpetrators of domestic terrorism.
These three suspects now face up to 20 years in prison on charges of “domestic terrorism,” as announced by Bondi on Thursday.
“The days of committing crimes without consequence have ended,” Bondi declared in a statement. “Let this be a warning: If you join this wave of domestic terrorism against Tesla properties, the Department of Justice will put you behind bars,” she emphasized.
The individuals involved are facing charges in Colorado, Oregon, and South Carolina. They are accused of using powerful weapons and explosives to damage Tesla’s property. Tesla has been targeted more frequently in recent weeks, with the attacks believed to be linked to Musk’s connection with the Trump administration.
