Kylie Kelce is almost ready to welcome her newest little one – and she’s getting mentally and emotionally prepared to give birth.
On this week’s episode of her podcast Not Gonna Lie, the pregnant mom of three, 33, shared that she’s made preparations as she gets ready to welcome her fourth daughter. Kylie, who already shares daughter Bennett, 2, Elliotte, 4, and Wyatt, 5, with husband Jason Kelce, started by revealing that her labor is “imminent.”
“Before I get into this, as always, I just wanna say do whatever works for you. These are my personal preferences,” Kylie shared. “I’m not you and you’re not me, and we do not have to be living with each other’s decisions.”
She went on to explain what a birth plan is, calling it “basically all the things that you plan to do during labor.” Kylie said these can include doing a home birth, having a kiddie pool in your living room and being unmedicated, among other things.
“Now I’ll tell you exactly what my birth plan is,” she said. “That’s right. It’s mine. You don’t need to have an opinion on it. You don’t need to be worried about it because I’m gonna tell you this birth plan has been approved by me, myself and my team of OBs. Okay?”
“I just want a fat needle in my back. That’s it,” Kylie shared, referring to an epidural. “I want a fat needle in my back that keeps the line in so that when I need a little bumpity bump to get that window gone — if you know, you know — that we can make that happen.”
The mom of three went on to say that her list is so short because she knows you can’t make a detailed plan and ensure that your unborn child sticks to it. “And I’m just not prepared for disappointment on a day that a human is exiting my body,” added Kylie.
Although she said she doesn’t have a specific soundtrack or music to listen to while she gives birth, Kylie revealed that she likes to watch TV shows while they’re waiting for the baby to be born.
“I do what is advised by the medical staff in the hospital, because I truly believe that labor and delivery nurses are angels that have descended from heaven and landed on earth,” Kylie said. “And I trust and love my OBs.”
Kylie noted that if someone wants to have an unmedicated birth, that’s their choice. But for her, she knows she wants to have an epidural.
“People who dismiss birth with an epidural as not being a true birth experience, I can promise you from the bottom of my heart, I felt every part of labor. Thank you. I knew what was happening. I could feel everything.”
