NBA YoungBoy to Be Released from Prison In April, Three Months Earlier Than Expected
NBA YoungBoy’s prison release has been moved up once again.
Originally set for July 27th, 2025, the Federal Bureau of Prisons database now lists his release for April 26, 2025. The rapper had agreed to a plea deal regarding gun possession and involvement in a prescription medication fraud scheme, which resulted in a 23-month sentence, five years of probation, and a $200,000 fine. The deal was amended, reducing his sentence to include time served until May 2024.
Earlier this week, Terrance “Gangsta” Williams, Birdman’s brother, claimed that YoungBoy was placed in solitary confinement at FCI Talladega after allegedly hitting a Mississippi man who shouted Lil Durk’s crew name, “OTF.” Despite the incident, Williams noted that YB is “standing on business,” and it hasn’t impacted his release date.
In 2023, YoungBoy admitted that his beef with Lil Durk is all for “entertainment.” Gillie Da Kid had suggested the two squash their feud, and YoungBoy agreed in a video, explaining, “It ain’t what you think OG, all this s**t entertainment.”
