NBA Fans Are Praying For Celtics Superstar Jayson Tatum After Suffering Scary Ankle Injury On Dirty Play vs. Kings

Basketball fans are praying for Boston Celtics superstar Jayson Tatum after suffering a terrible-looking ankle injury during Monday night’s road game against the Sacramento Kings.



The 27-year-old All-Star was injured in the third quarter of Monday evening’s clash at Golden 1 Center. Tatum suffered the injury after making a three-point shot as Domantas Sabonis attempted to close him out.

Sabonis was issued a flagrant foul on the play, per MassLive.com. Jayson Tatum was in visible pain as he made his way back to the Celtics bench

Before leaving the game, Tatum had a game-high 25 points, seven rebounds and eight assists. He was 5-of-9 from downtown and shot 8-of-15 from the field.

Jayson Tatum Is Having An MVP-Caliber Season

One year after silencing the critics by leading Boston to the NBA championship, Tatum has put together another MVP-caliber season in Beantown. Tatum is averaging 27.2 points, 8.7 rebounds and 5.9 assists per contest in 65 games.

The Celtics are basically locked in as the No. 2 seed in the East, so they can afford to rest Tatum accordingly if his injury isn’t serious.
