Pam Bondi asks Jasmine Crockett to apologize to ‘shareholders of Tesla’ for wishing Elon Musk’s downfall



WASHINGTON, DC: Attorney General Pam Bondi demanded Representative Jasmine Crockett (D-Texas) apologize to shareholders of the electric vehicle company Tesla, owned by tech billionaire and White House adviser Elon Musk, on Monday, March 24, reported Mediaite.

Crockett has been a vocal critic of Musk, who, in his capacity as the chair of the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), has enacted a number of sweeping layoffs and funding cuts across federal departments and programs. This has led to the loss of thousands of jobs, while putting many more services in jeopardy.

Musk has spent nearly $300 million to get Trump elected for a second term at the White House. He has since acted as his adviser, even though companies owned by him enjoy billions in contracts with the federal government.

When asked about the conflict of interest created by the situation, the Trump administration bizarrely claimed that the businessman would be the judge of his own conflict of interest.

Jasmine Crockett’s criticism of Elon Musk

Musk’s actions as a private individual having sweeping powers over the federal government have enraged people across the country, many of whom have taken to protesting at Tesla showrooms. In some cases, the protests turned violent, with Tesla cars being set on fire, and locations being vandalized.

Amid the chaos, Congresswoman Crockett reportedly joined a #TeslaTakedown livestream on YouTube last week, where she stated, “On March 29, it’s my birthday. And all I want to see happen on my birthday is for Elon to be taken down.”

Appearing on Sean Hannity’s show on Fox News on Monday, Bondi slammed Crockett for her comments but acknowledged that she had not meant to physically harm Musk himself.

“But, however, your words have consequences,” stated Bondi. “And what happened after she (Crockett) said that about Elon Musk – she’s a Texan – and in her own home state after she said that, this morning three explosive devices were found in Austin, Texas.”

“So she needs to unequivocally denounce the violence. She must apologize immediately not only to all Texans but to our country, to the American shareholders of Tesla because she is promoting violence,” she added, before accusing Crockett of “using her public persona, her public platform to increase her followers, to increase her significance.”
